Breanna Sheppard joined Cornell Grace, P.C. in 2026. Ms. Sheppard’s practice areas include New York Labor Law, construction accident and construction defect litigation, insurance coverage, product liability, governmental liability, and education institution liability. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sheppard worked first as a public defender in Manitoba and Ontario, and then as a prosecutor in Ontario, Canada. In these roles, she gained extensive experience in an array of legal areas, including both defending and successfully prosecuting criminal cases to verdict as well as advising law enforcement on criminal investigations involving fraud, property and personal injury offences.
Ms. Sheppard received her Bachelor of Arts degree and her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Winnipeg. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Robson Hall, Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba. Ms. Sheppard was awarded the Undergraduate Research Award for legal research on judicially assisted dispute resolution and mediationĀ as well as the Kenneth A Filkow Memorial Prize in Negotiations for top students in negotiations at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law (Robson Hall).
